Label Expo Europe 2019: Successful live-show staged with Codimag
October 17, 2019
At this year’s Labelexpo Europe Verico Technology deployed its digital workflow in support of live printing demos by the press manufacturer Codimag. Its fully automatic and chemistry-free prepress system comprising the HD ProW CtP setter and EcoKleen Washer delivered press-ready Zahara NWL plates in a two minute cycle throughout the show.
For its part, Codimag presented the VIVA 340 evolution and the VIVA 420, two industrial alternatives to digital printing. These two modular systems are amongst the most productive presses on the market and in combination with Aniflo short ink train technology and waterless offset offer the ultimate in quality, flexibility, profitability and productivity.
In terms of numbers, there were 32 job changes during the Aniflo live demos on the Viva 340 evolution, with an average wastage of 25 m – a new record; whilst the 18 job changes on the Viva 420 each took less than five minutes and involved four different substrates and a maximum speed of 85 m/min.
“We’re very pleased with the results of the show. The live demos allowed us to show how, in the age of digitzation, it is possible to mount waterless plates on a Codimag Viva press within the space of a few minutes.
On behalf of the entire Verico team, I would once again like to thank our partner Codimag for their first class cooperation. It was an honour for us to be involved in this outstanding show and to again play our part with the Zahara NWL, HD Pro-W and Eco-Kleen combination“, comments Karol Wolnikowski, Global Sales Director for Verico Technology.
This year’s key messages from Verico Technology were:
– Technological edge,
– Best-in-class service and
– Reducing the environmental footprint.
Together, Codimag‘s Viva 340/420 presses and Verico’s sustainable plate technology form one of the most efficient developments in the age of waterless offset. The chemistry-free Zahara NWL plate has been specifically developed for label printing and offers print quality and precision. Absolute stability over the print run even when printing abrasive substrates, coupled with deep colour densities and process consistency are just some of the advantages. With the imminent launch of the Zahara Elite NWL, version 2.0 of this successful product will deliver enhanced performance.
